Accepted International 学生 Checklist

Step 1 – Receive Acceptance Letter

Congratulations on your acceptance to SUNY Genesee Community College! At this time, you should have received an acceptance letter from the 招生 Office.

Your acceptance letter will indicate the major in which you were accepted and the necessary information for creating a password and logging in to myGCC:

• GCC NetID(用户名)
• 学号(800XXXXXX)
• myGCC Login: GCC NetID@gautambhaumik.com

转学分, be sure that you have submitted your official foreign college transcripts through 韦斯 to admissions@gautambhaumik.com.

Step 2 – Pay SEVIS Fee and Make Visa Appointment

• 支付SEVIS费用.
• Schedule your visa appointment at your local embassy/consulate.

1. 参观 SUNY GCC主页.
2. At the top of the homepage you will see a prompt to 登录到 myGCC.
3. After selecting myGCC, select Reset/Set up your password.
4. Select either reset or set up your password.
5. Enter your Username also known as GCC NetID.
6. You will be prompted first for your 学生 ID and Birth month (numerical digit without a “zero”).
7. You will then be prompted to create a password.
8. Once you successfully create your password you will be able to 登录到 myGCC.
9. It will be helpful to maintain a copy of your username and password in a safe and secure location.

For technical assistance, call the HELP DESK at 1-866-614-5004 and choose Option 1.

All GCC students are required to meet the College proficiencies in math, reading, and English. 放置 in these courses is determined by Multiple Measures Policy including: Accuplacer, ACT/ SAT V成绩, 高中双学分, 摄政王ELA分数, or previous college credit, 托福考试.

学生s should review their Degree Works degree audit or contact ssc@gautambhaumik.com to determine if testing is required. To review your Degree Works degree audit:

1. 登录到 myGCC.
2. 选择我的帐户选项卡.
3. Select My Banner Self Service.
4. Under 学生 记录, Select “Run a Degree Audit”

If you are required to take ACCUPLACER, testing information and practice tests are available at the 测试办公室页面.

Step 5 – Set up an Advisement Appointment and Register for Classes

参观 学生 Success Directory and schedule a virtual or phone advisement appointment with 珍妮因此, International 学生 Success Coach. Prior to your appointment, you will need to:

1. “设置密码”
2. 成功登录 myGCC
3. 开放 and review your Degree Works Degree Audit
4. 开放 变焦. Once you have opened Zoom, select Join a Meeting.
   1. Enter the Meeting ID provided to you.
   2. Select Join Audio and Turn on Video in the bottom left hand corner
   3. 在预约期间, the advisor will discuss degree requirements, 课程的选择, and help with the registration process.

Step 6 – Check GCC email, myGCC, and Brightspace

您的GCC邮件, myGCC帐户, and Brightspace will provide you with important information and updates, 所以每天都要检查.

Step 7 – Submit 学生免疫表格

填写并提交 学生免疫表格 to health@gautambhaumik.com. It is advised students secure their own international insurance prior to arrival.

Step 9 – Inform GCC of Your Arrival Information

Step 10 – Submit Copies of Immigration Documents

Step 11 – Attend Mandatory International 学生 Information Session
